Once upon a Crime: US police brutality

According to official statistics, two people are killed by police in the USA every day. With the proliferation of mobile devices with cameras, cases against law enforcement have become easier to prove, but that hasn’t stopped them happening. Miguel Francis-Santiago meets people who have been personally affected by abuses of authority.

    1. Pffft... that's all you've got: another well-heeled smartypants contrarian? No wonder you guys just don't get it.

  2. You love 'theory' and it's part of your problem: you end up theorising everything to death!

  3. All of that to try and claim that:

    * racism in America isn't systemic (it IS)
    * the police are great apart from a 'few bad apples' (police brutality is systemic and AAs suffer its brunt more)
    * the US is a country of the Rule of Law: no, there's one Law for the "Avs", another for the "Avnots"

  4. That fluff piece that Stinker linked to ('Clarice' in the AT) is typical of how white, middle US conservatives manage NOT to think about the problem at all.

    1. You should enjoy this, especially the link. :)

btw - Does this sound like a "systemic racism" problem: 41 unarmed people were killed by police in USA 2019. Only 9 were black.

    2. So no, I don't think about "systemic Racism" of the police force very much. There are 330 million people here. I'm sure that at least 9 black people were killed by lightning in 2019, too. Should the government protect them with lightning rods?

  5. Farmer, to the Rightwing racism doesn't actually exist. Some minority asking for equal right? No, they're asking for "special rights"! Blahdiblahdiblah... at infinitum.

Stinker is one of the most horrific antisemites I've come across on the Net and what do you do over at yours? A big FAT NOTHING! Not even a mild warning or telling off! Zero, nada, zilch.

You're a very bad judge of all things racism. Stems from you misspent youth at FrontPage mag, I think... ;-)
